In 1998 Declan O’Connell of WildAcre Productions started filming the Lee Valley String Band. They were then in their 30th year of playing together. 1998 saw the release of their FIRST album – Corner Boys – and this was followed 10 years later, in 2008, with the ironically titled – Prolific Or What? They are still playing the American old time and bluegrass music they love – not for profit or fame but for the pure love of it.
